100 Days Out: Democratic AGs and Candidates Building Momentum as Election Day Nears

Extremist Republican AGs, Candidates Facing Tough Fights Nationwide
Washington, DC — Today marks 100 days out from the midterm elections on November 8th, and Democratic AGs and candidates are building momentum in key battleground races and states across the county.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s disastrous Dobbs ruling, national attention is focused on state Attorney General races. Last week, the Washington Post’s Greg Sargent and Paul Waldman declared that “Attorneys general will be at ground zero in the new abortion wars” and Democratic Attorneys General and candidates have been taking to the national airwaves to call out extremist Republican AGs and candidates who want to ban abortion.
DAGA has been raising the resources needed to win tough races around the country, outraising the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) in the second quarter, as small dollar donations poured in as Republican extremists attacked abortion access nationwide.
Statement from DAGA Co-Chairs Nevada AG Aaron Ford and Delaware AG Kathy Jennings:
“These are the most important midterm elections of our lifetime, and Democratic Attorneys General are proud to be on the frontlines. We are leading the charge on critical issues facing Americans from protecting reproductive rights and abortion access to combating gun violence. In key battleground states like Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada and Wisconsin, our incumbent AGs are running strong campaigns to beat back extremist Republican candidates. In challenger states like Arizona, Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, and Texas, some of our endorsed candidates are outraising their Republican AG opponents and turning up the heat on their unpopular and extremist actions restricting abortion access. State Attorneys General races are critical to Americans’ freedom, health care, and rights, and we’re ready to win these races over the next 100 days.”
