Democratic Attorneys General Association Congratulates Kathy Jennings on Delaware Attorney General Victory
November 7, 2018
Washington, D.C.— The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement from Executive Director Sean Rankin congratulating Kathy Jennings on winning the Delaware Attorney General’s seat. Jennings will continue the Democratic leadership of the Delaware OAG currently led by Attorney General Matt Denn. Through its aggressive recruitment for qualified candidates and the launch of the 1881 Initiative, DAGA assembled the most diverse class of attorney general candidates in history including Jennings, who will be the first Democratic woman to serve as AG, and only the second woman to hold the office ever.
Statement from Sean Rankin, Executive Director of the Democratic Attorneys General Association:
“We applaud Kathy Jennings and her campaign on winning the Delaware Attorney General race. It was important for Delaware to elect a leader who will continue the strong work of Attorney General Matt Denn. Kathy Jennings’ career has been built on protecting the most vulnerable, fighting crime, and combatting corruption. There is no doubt she will bring those skills into the office of Attorney General. She is ready to fight back against some of the rollbacks and violations of democratic values we see happening in all levels of government including from the Trump Administration. We look forward to welcoming Kathy Jennings into our room.”
