Democratic Attorneys General Association Congratulates Aaron Frey on winning Democratic Nomination for Maine Attorney General
December 5, 2018
Washington, D.C.— The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement from Executive Director Sean Rankin congratulating state Representative Aaron Frey on winning the Democratic nomination for Maine Attorney General. Maine is the only state that allows the Legislature to elect constitutional offices. The final vote by the full Legislature will take place tomorrow. DAGA worked with the Maine Democratic Party throughout the election cycle to support current Attorney General Janet Mills’ gubernatorial run as well as engage in the Attorney General election process.
Statement from Sean Rankin, Executive Director of the Democratic Attorneys General Association:
“We applaud state Representative Aaron Frey for winning the Maine Attorney General Democratic nomination. Given the election night success for Democrats winning 110 of the 186 seats in both chambers, we are confident Aaron Frey will continue the strong Democratic leadership of the Maine OAG currently led by Attorney General Janet Mills. We look forward to a swift vote tomorrow by the full Legislature ushering in the next Democratic Attorney General in Maine!”
