WASHINGTON — The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the statements below from DAGA Co-Chair District of Columbia AG Karl Racine and DAGA Executive Director Sean Rankin following the news that DAGA Co-chair Oregon AG Ellen Rosenblum filed for re-election today. Her leadership contributed to the launch of the 1881 Initiative and to the election of the most diverse coalition of Democratic state Attorneys General in history in the 2018 Midterms. Throughout her tenure as the Oregon Attorney General, AG Rosenblum garnered national recognition for her work combatting hate crimes, protecting Title X funding and reproductive rights, taking on student debt providers, and fighting back against the Trump administration.
Statement from District of Columbia AG Karl Racine, Co-Chair of the Democratic Attorneys General Association:
“Oregonians have a real champion in Ellen Rosenblum. I am proud to be serving with her as Co-Chair of DAGA as we work together with our Democratic AG colleagues to protect the most vulnerable communities and fight back against the barrage of attacks coming out of the Trump Administration. She is a progressive, thoughtful leader who I trust to do what is right for Oregon and for the country. I look forward to supporting her successful re-election.”
Statement from Sean Rankin, Executive Director of the Democratic Attorneys General Association:
“Over the last three years, Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum has been a leading figure in the movement of Attorneys General to the national stage. As a co-chair of the Democratic Attorneys General Association, she has contributed to every major national action protecting the people from overreach and callousness by the Trump administration. As AG Rosenblum announces her bid for re-election, DAGA will stand with her and share with Oregon voters the truth about how important she has been to our country. We stand with AG Rosenblum and will work with her on her re-election campaign. We are all in.”
