Lawsuit Puts Mitch McConnell Protégé Daniel Cameron’s Lack of Legal Experience on Notice

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) issued the following statement from Executive Director Sean Rankin in response to the decision on the disqualification lawsuit brought forth by a Kentucky voter challenging Republican AG candidate Daniel Cameron’s eligibility to run for Attorney General this November.

“This initial ruling adds to the overwhelming and justified concerns Kentuckians have about Daniel Cameron and his real lack of legal experience. This process put a microscope on Cameron’s limited career with no experience in court. Voters took notice—and what they see is someone who could barely make it onto the ballot and someone who lacks enough experience to do the job of Attorney General.”

“Kentuckians need an experienced lawyer as their Attorney General to take on special interests and hold powerful people and politicians accountable—and now it’s even more clear that Greg Stumbo is the only candidate for the job.”
