WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Democratic Attorneys General Association Co-Chairs Massachusetts AG Maura Healey and Oregon AG Ellen Rosenblum released the following statement in response to President Trump’s tweet this morning attacking vote-by-mail and threatening to delay the November elections.
Statement from Massachusetts AG Maura Healey and Oregon AG Ellen Rosenblum, Co-Chairs of the Democratic Attorneys General Association:
“To President Trump: Not on our watch! Democratic AGs will fight ANY effort to delay the November election or deny people the right to vote—and we will win.”
“This is the most dangerous, unconstitutional and illegal idea we’ve heard yet coming from Donald Trump. It’s an unveiled threat to our democracy—and we won’t stand for it.”
“This is also yet another attempt to distract from the President’s failures to confront the coronavirus.”
