ICYMI: WA AG Bob Ferguson Secures Three Editorial Board Endorsements
October 6, 2020
In case you missed it, three key editorial boards endorsed Washington AG Bob Ferguson for re-election this November.
- The Seattle Times editorial board endorsed AG Ferguson for a third term saying, “Bob Ferguson is the right attorney general for Washington state in these times.” The editorial board notes “Ferguson, a former King County council member, has a strong, constructive vision for the office…”
- The Columbian editorial board endorsed AG Ferguson saying, “During eight years as Washington’s attorney general, Democrat Bob Ferguson has vociferously defended the state’s residents.” The editorial board goes on to say, “Ferguson is a thoughtful and articulate advocate for Washington and for the rule of law. Whether challenging capricious policy decisions by the Trump administration or harmful practices by pharmaceutical companies, Ferguson’s office is eager to stand up against actions that are harmful to the state’s citizens.” The endorsement closed by writing, “Bob Ferguson is the clear choice in the race for attorney general.”
- The Union-Bulletin editorial board endorsed AG Ferguson’s re-election effort writing, “State Attorney General Bob Ferguson continues to serve the people of Washington extremely well as his office strongly enforces the law, protects people’s civil rights and protects consumers.” The editorial board closed by writing, “there is no issue too big or too small for Ferguson to take on if it’s for the people.”
These endorsements highlight AG Ferguson’s commitment to the people of Washington. Voters have already shown their support for his re-election, too. In the Washington top-2 primary, he received 55.8% of the vote and polling consistently shows him on a smooth path to re-election this November.
