WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) Co-Chairs Massachusetts AG Maura Healey and Nevada AG Aaron Ford released the following statement regarding the passage of the American Rescue Plan, now headed to President Joe Biden’s desk for signing.

“We applaud our colleagues in the House and the Senate for passing the American Rescue Plan—legislation with broad support that provides much needed financial aid to millions of people across the country suffering from the COVID-19 crisis. We look forward to President Joe Biden signing this crucial bill.”
“Democratic AGs have been calling for bold, decisive action from federal leaders to ensure our states and communities have the resources they need to keep families, workers, and businesses afloat. Thanks to the leadership of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and congressional Democrats, millions of people will soon be receiving checks to help them and their families; states will soon be receiving aid for distributing vaccinations; aid will be going to small businesses around the country; unemployment insurance will be extended; child poverty will be cut dramatically; and schools will get much needed resources to support their efforts to safely reopen.”
