On Tuesday, Trump endorsed John Gordon, a little-known attorney who has spouted election conspiracy theories from his first days in the race, over the incumbent Attorney General. This is a nightmare scenario for Carr, with two long months still to go until Georgia’s primary.

The New York Times: “Other Trump-backed Georgia Republicans are facing challenging primaries, including John Gordon, who entered the attorney general’s race only days ago and is being advised by Corey Lewandowski, Mr. Trump’s first 2016 campaign manager.”

NBC News: “Trump brought up election fraud this week when he yanked his endorsement in the Alabama Senate race from GOP Rep.
