Washington, DC – Earlier today, the Supreme Court announced its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The Court’s opinion eliminates the constitutional right to abortion and dismantles safe and legal abortion access for millions of Americans.

Statement from DAGA Co-Chairs Nevada AG Aaron Ford and Delaware AG Kathy Jennings:

“Today’s opinion is a devastating and heart-wrenching setback for our country. We will not stop our fight for every person’s right to an abortion, no matter how dark the hour. As Democratic AGs, we are proud to be on the frontlines fighting for abortion access and will not hesitate to fight in court to protect these essential rights. Since 2019, we’ve been the only Democratic political committee with an explicit litmus test for supporting abortion access, and we are doubling down on the importance of protecting this right in this election cycle and in the ones to come. We need everyone across the country to go to the ballot box this fall and vote for pro-choice candidates at the state, local and federal levels – because lives depend on it.”
