Democratic Attorneys General Praise Biden-Harris Administration’s Executive Order on Reproductive Healthcare Access
August 3, 2022
Washington, DC – Earlier today, President Biden announced a new executive order protecting access to reproductive health care services.
Statement from DAGA Co-Chairs Nevada AG Aaron Ford and Delaware AG Kathy Jennings:
“Today’s Executive Order is another important step from the Biden-Harris Administration to protect reproductive rights, patients and providers across the country. No one should fear legal prosecution or intimidation for receiving or giving necessary medical care, and this executive order will take critical steps on that front. The recent case of the 10-year-old rape victim who was forced to travel from Ohio to Indiana for essential healthcare and the attacks on her provider shows just how critical these protections are in the months and years ahead. As Democratic Attorneys General, we are fighting every single day for reproductive rights – whether by taking on anti-abortion laws in our own states, or working collaboratively with each of our fellow AGs and the Biden-Harris Administration to protect and expand reproductive rights and access.”
