DAGA Statement on Results of Ohio AG Race

November 8, 2022

Washington, DC —The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) made the following statement after the final results of the Attorney General race in Ohio, where Democratic candidate Jeff Crossman came up short against far-right incumbent AG Dave Yost.

Statement from Geoff Burgan, Communications Director, Democratic Attorneys General Association:

“Today’s election results in Ohio weren’t on our side, but state Rep. Crossman and his team have so much to be proud of. They ran a hard-fought campaign rooted in uplifting the people who are often left out of politics. Jeff reached out to voters across the state and showed that he’s the type of leader that Ohioans deserve. Unfortunately, he came up short, but we know that the work he’s done for the people of his state doesn’t stop here. Just as he’s done for years in the state legislature, Jeff will continue fighting for Ohioans. DAGA thanks Rep. Crossman for stepping up to the challenge, and we look forward to seeing what this next chapter brings.”
