DAGA Co-Chair Statement on Biden-Harris 2024 Reelection Announcement

April 25, 2023

Washington, DC — Today, U.S. President Joe Biden announced that he will be running for reelection in 2024. Following the news, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement:

Statement from DAGA Co-Chairs Delaware AG Kathy Jennings and Nevada AG Aaron Ford:

“President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have delivered for the American people, and we are proud to support their re-election. The Administration’s historic record speaks to their commitment to rebuild the middle class and take on our biggest challenges: created 12.6 million new jobs; passed the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act, which have led to companies committing over $435 billion in private sector investments across the country; lowered health care and drug costs for millions of Americans, including capping the cost of insulin at $35 per month; signed bipartisan gun safety legislation; and restored America’s standing as the leader of the free world.

“Throughout the country, Democratic Attorneys General have been proud to partner with President Biden, Vice President Harris, and their Administration to deliver for the American people; and we are very proud that 9 former Democratic Attorneys General are a part of this administration. Together, we will continue to stand up against extremist Republicans that attempt to strip Americans of their rights and put the powerful ahead of working people. We stand with President Biden and Vice President Harris for re-election in 2024.”
