NEW: Dan Bishop Proudly States He Would ‘Join the Fight’ with Impeached, Far-Right AG Ken Paxton

October 28, 2024

AG Paxton is infamously known for attempting to overturn the 2020 election and his extreme opposition to abortion rights

Washington DC – Far-right Republican candidate for Attorney General Dan Bishop is once again showing he’s too extreme to be North Carolina’s Attorney General, this time aligning himself with one of the most extreme, far-right Attorneys General in the country.

In a recent interview on “Bannon’s War Room,” Bishop said he wants to “join the fight with [Texas Attorney General] Ken Paxton.” Bishop has also previously unapologetically praised Paxton as an “example” for him as Attorney General.

AG Paxton happens to be one of the most extreme politicians in elected office – from barring Kate Cox from receiving an emergency abortion to end her nonviable pregnancy, to being directly behind the lawsuit that contested the 2020 election results. If Bishop were to become AG, he could bring to North Carolina the same dangerous extremism AG Paxton has brought to Texas – targeting women and undermining free and fair elections is just the start.

Dan Bishop is too extreme to be North Carolina’s Attorney General.

North Carolina deserves a leader like Democrat Rep. Jeff Jackson who will always protect and defend abortion rights and who will put the communities they serve first and not advance their own extreme political agenda.
