Warren Petersen is Unqualified and Dangerous for Arizona
September 9, 2026
WASHINGTON, DC – Warren Petersen is the Republican candidate for Attorney General in Arizona, running against Attorney General Kris Mayes to lead the state’s largest law firm. Petersen is far too extreme and unqualified to lead as the state’s top prosecutor, running on a radical partisan agenda and failing to put Arizonans first.
Here’s a rundown of Petersen’s disqualifications:
- Petersen was admitted only three years ago to the State Bar of Arizona and has never worked as a lawyer.
- Petersen is a Trump Yes-Man, having recently received Trump’s endorsement in the AG race, and wasted $4 million of Arizona taxpayer dollars trying to overturn the will of voters
- Petersen is an anti-abortion extremist and fought to ban abortion after 15 weeks, calling it both a “gruesome, barbaric, and depraved practice” and “diabolical perversion of words”
- Petersen has consistently opposed affordable healthcare access, and supported Medicaid cuts that would strip 342,000 Arizonans of their health care access
It’s clear that Petersen does not belong anywhere near the Arizona AGs office.
