DAGA Congratulates Colorado AG-Elect Jena Griswold on Resounding Win
November 3, 2026
WASHINGTON, DC – The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) congratulates Colorado Secretary of State and Attorney General-elect Jena Griswold on her decisive win to be Colorado’s next attorney general, defeating Republican Michael Allen. AG-elect Griswold will build on the incredible work of Governor-elect Phil Weiser and stand up to Donald Trump’s lawlessness and protect the rights and freedoms of all Coloradans. This is a historic victory as AG-elect Griswold becomes the first Democratic woman elected to AG in the state.
Statement from Lottie. Ash, DAGA Political Director:
“Congratulations to AG-elect Jena Griswold and her entire team on an incredible win tonight. AG-elect Griswold will bring her experience and leadership as Secretary of State to the AG’s office where she will fight to protect Coloradans fundamental rights and freedoms. Griswold ran a robust campaign that focused on her commitment to taking on bad actors looking to harm Coloradans, safeguarding and expanding access to reproductive healthcare, and standing up to the Trump administration when they break the rule of law. Griswold’s priority has always been fighting for Colorado families and communities, and she will continue to do that when sworn in as the state’s next AG. We’re excited to see her partnership with current AG and Governor-elect Phil Weiser and how they will work together to deliver wins for the people of Colorado.”
