SELMA, AL – On Saturday March 7, 2026 at 12pm CT, Illinois AG Kwame Raoul, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison, New York AG Letitia James, and Washington AG Nick Brown will speak at a panel during the Our Selma Moment: Fighting and Building event, as part of the annual Selma Jubilee weekend. The event is hosted by the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. 

The AGs will discuss what has and hasn’t changed in the past 61 years since Bloody Sunday, what we can learn from the courageous freedom fighters before us, and what must we do to simultaneously fight the assaults on our democracy and build what comes next. The panel will be moderated by Damon Hewitt, President & Executive Director at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. 

The event is open to the public and the press.
