Washington, DC — Minnesota primary results are in and Democratic AG Keith Ellison will face off against Jim Schultz, an out-of-touch GOP nominee, this fall. AG Ellison has worked tirelessly to protect communities and defend the rights and freedoms of all Minnesotans since being elected in 2018.

“Since first being elected AG in 2018, AG Ellison has delivered on his promises as the People’s Lawyer for all Minnesotans. He’s worked hard to protect public safety, including fighting for stronger gun laws. There is a clear contrast on that issue: Ellison proposed investing more money in public safety, but Minnesota Republicans continued their years-long opposition to those common-sense investments.

“He’s always put Minnesota consumers first, including standing up to bad corporate actors and protecting Minnesota’s environment, and he’s been on the frontlines of defending reproductive rights in the wake of the Dobbs decision. The contrast between AG Ellison and Jim Schultz is clear as day. Schultz is out-of-touch with Minnesotans and does not align with their values. This November, the people of Minnesota will re-elect AG Ellison, and we look forward to helping make that happen.”
