Democratic AGs will continue to hold Trump and his allies accountable for violating the rule of law

WASHINGTON, DC – Just over a year since Trump took office for his second term, Democratic attorneys general collectively have filed their 100th lawsuit against his administration. In court, AGs have won over 80% of their cases against Trump that have settled. From suing to preserve critical medical research, safeguardessential environmental protections, and protect funds for food assistance, public safety, emergency aid, and more, Democratic AGs are the champions of democracy and brought billions of dollars back to their states.

You can read about all 100 lawsuits here.

Statement from Sean Rankin, DAGA President:

“One hundred lawsuits against the Trump administration is not only an indication of the numerous times Trump has flagrantly violated United States Constitution, but a reminder that Democratic AGs are the only group of elected officials who are fighting — and winning — against this administration’s harmful and reckless actions which has resulted in billions of dollars being brought back to their states. For too long, Trump has trampled the rule of law. And Democratic AGs haveheld him accountable for the harms he has done to our economy and our democracy.

“This is exactly why it matters who you have as your state attorney general. There are over 30 AG races on the ballot this year, and it’s Democratic AGs who fightto preserve Democracy, the rule of law, and your rights and freedoms.”
