DAGA Announces Expanded Invesment of $1.1 Million in Virginia AG Race

September 10, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Democratic Attorneys General Association announced an additional $1.1 million investment in Virginia to elect Democratic candidate for Attorney General Jay Jones. Jones continues to demonstrate why he’s the right choice to serve as the Commonwealth’s next attorney general, from his commitment to safeguarding abortion rights and supporting Virginia’s veterans to his plans to keeping Virginians safe from crime and protecting them from Donald Trump’s attacks on their livelihoods, economy, and fundamental civil rights. Throughout his time in the legislature and as an Assistant Attorney General, Jones is a leader who has consistently delivered for Virginia, which is why DAGA is proud to make yet another investment to flip the seat back to blue.

Statement from Carolyn Fiddler, DAGA’s Director of Communications:

“DAGA is proud to announce our additional investment of $1.1 million into Jay Jones’ campaign. Virginia needs an attorney general who will stop at nothing to protect their rights and freedoms and defend against federal overreach, and MAGA Miyares has continuously proven he is too weak to stand up to Donald Trump. Over the last eight months, Miyares has failed to fight back against Trump’s attacks on Virginia’s workforce, economy, and reproductive rights.

“Jones, on the other hand, is ready to stand up to Trump when he violates the law and will not hesitate to defend the rights of Virginians and democracy itself. With so much on the line, it’s crucial we take back this seat in November, and we’re committed to supporting Jones to make that happen.”
