DAGA Applauds Illinois AG Kwame Raoul on Re-Election Victory

November 8, 2022

Washington, DC — The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement after the final results in the race for Attorney General in Illinois, where incumbent AG Kwame Raoul resoundingly won re-election, beating Republican Tom DeVore.

Statement from Geoff Burgan, Communications Director, Democratic Attorneys General Association:

“We congratulate AG Raoul for his re-election victory tonight. AG Raoul has worked tirelessly to defend the rights of Illinoisans and has been a leading voice on so many critical issues. He’s helped keep communities safe and keep criminals off streets. He has fought to protect children and families, abortion access, the environment, and runs an Attorney General’s Office committed to working for everyone. His office was just in court defending the Equal Rights Amendment because he believes in equality under the law. AG Raoul is a relentless leader, and we look forward to seeing all he will accomplish as he enters his second term as Illinois’ top law enforcement officer.”
