Washington, DC — Today, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement after Vice President Kamala Harris’s speech on the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Statement from DAGA Co-Chair Nevada AG Aaron Ford:

“It was an honor to join Vice President Harris and the Biden-Harris Administration for this powerful speech highlighting our work to protect abortion access and reproductive rights – especially in the states. The Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision left many of us frightened, but we have met that decision with fierce resolve and action. From expanding access in “haven” states like New York, Oregon, Washington State and Connecticut, to taking on important legal battles in swing states like Michigan and Wisconsin, Democratic AGs have been on the frontlines of the abortion fight. We will continue to stand up to dangerous Republican proposals, whether from Congress or in the states, that try to strip Americans of their rights.”
