WASHINGTON, DC – The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement following New Jersey Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill’s victory, securing the appointment of an attorney general.

“DAGA congratulates Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill on her victory. With this win, New Jerseyans can be assured that their state will again have a Democratic attorney general. Democratic AGs, including current New Jersey AG Matt Platkin, have played a pivotal role in holding the Trump administration accountable when it has violated the law and they’ve successfully defended and protected the rights of their constituents. We have no doubt the next Democratic attorney general will do the same.”
