DAGA Congratulates Washington D.C. AG-Elect Brian Schwalb on Victory

November 8, 2022

Washington, D.C. — The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) congratulates Washington, D.C. Attorney General-elect Brian Schwalb on his win tonight. Schwalb will build on the great work of D.C.’s first-ever elected AG, Karl Racine. AG Racine proudly served as DAGA’s Co-Chair and on DAGA’s Executive Committee, helping serve as a leader for AG’s and candidates around the country.

Statement from Geoff Burgan, Communications Director, Democratic Attorneys General Association:

Congratulations to Brian Schwalb for becoming D.C.’s second-ever elected Attorney General. As a D.C. native, Schwalb is especially connected to the issues everyday Washingtonians experience. Schwalb knows that there’s more that can be done to use the law to better the lives of all D.C. residents. We look forward to seeing all that he will accomplish, building on the success of outgoing AG Karl Racine and using the resources at OAG to protect consumers, improve public safety, defend democracy, and promote equity in all aspects of this work. We want to thank AG Racine for all his work and leadership within DAGA. And we are excited to welcome AG-elect Schwalb and know that he will use this office to make D.C. a more just, equitable, and safe place for all.”
