September 8, 2022
Washington, D.C. — Following her primary win, the Democratic Attorneys General Association is excited to announce the endorsement of Andrea Campbell to be the next Attorney General in Massachusetts. Campbell will work tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts to keep them safe and hold the powerful accountable.
Statement from Sean Rankin, President of Democratic Attorneys General Association:
“We’re excited to endorse Andrea Campbell as Massachusetts’ next Attorney General. Campbell has a long history of public service, most recently serving as Boston City Council President, and has dedicated her career to fighting for equity and opportunity for all. She’s running to be an AG that puts justice first. From protecting reproductive health care, to keeping communities safe, to ensuring access to affordable health care and housing, she’s committed to bettering the lives of all Bay Staters with this office just as she has throughout her career. She will be a voice and an advocate for progress. Campbell will continue to build on the great success of Attorney General Maura Healey, and we look forward to them serving together as Governor and AG once elected in November.
“As we move to endorse and begin a new relationship with Andrea Campbell, I wish to express my gratitude to Attorney General Maura Healey. We support you and are excited to see you move into the Governor’s office to continue the work you started as AG. You always will be a part of the DAGA family. Thank you for your leadership and your work with DAGA.”
Statement from Andrea Campbell, Democratic Nominee for Attorney General in Massachusetts:
“Thank you to DAGA for this endorsement. I am running to be Massachusetts’ Attorney General to be a fighter for all — no matter who you are or where you come from. This is an office with so much potential and promise to solve the pressing issues of today. From abortion and health care access to gun safety to the housing and environment crises — there is so much on the line. I will work tirelessly for the people of Massachusetts on these issues and so much more to keep our communities safe. Opportunity and justice for all — that’s why I’m running and that’s what I look forward to bringing to this office. I look forward to working with DAGA to win in November.”
