DAGA Endorses Chris Mann for Kansas Attorney General

May 6, 2026

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) is proud to announce its endorsement of Chris Mann for Kansas Attorney General. Mann has dedicated his career to serving the people of Kansas, first as a law enforcement officer and then as a prosecutor, where he served in the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office prosecuting cases ranging from drunk driving to murder and on the Kansas Securities Commission protecting consumers and seniors. Later, Mann opened his own law practice to provide legal counsel to victims of drunk driving. He also played a vital role in the advocacy and passage of drunk driving legislation in Kansas. Mann has always worked for Kansans, and he will continue to bring that dedication and commitment to the Attorney General’s office.

Statement from Sean Rankin, DAGA President:

“Chris Mann is an experienced and accomplished litigator who has spent his career protecting Kansas communities as both a police officer and as a prosecutor, which is why DAGA is proud to endorse him for Kansas Attorney General. He has dedicated his life to fighting crime, whether that was holding white collar criminals accountable or bringing lawsuits against drunk drivers. Mann’s leadership and dedication are exactly what the state needs. As attorney general, he will restore the Attorney General’s office back to a place of justice and accountability. He will always stand up for Kansas families and defend the rule of law.

“As a critical pick up opportunity this cycle, DAGA is committed to flipping this seat come November. We look forward to working with Mann and his team to show Kansans that he’s the only choice in this race to be the state’s attorney general.”

Statement from Chris Mann, Democratic candidate for Kansas Attorney General:

“I am honored to receive DAGA’s endorsement in this crucial race. Kansas is in desperate need of an attorney general who will put the safety of families and communities first, not political agendas. I have dedicated my career to serving and advocating for Kansans with a proven track record of delivering results through my work as a police officer and prosecutor. As the next attorney general of the state, I will prioritize public safety and defend the constitutional rights of all Kansans, ensuring the law is applied fairly and consistently. I will work tirelessly to protect consumers from fraud and hold bad actors accountable and finally ensure law enforcement and prosecutors receive the resources they need from the AG’s office to investigate and prosecute crimes. I look forward to working with DAGA to win in November and flip this seat.”
