DAGA Endorses Nick Brown for Washington Attorney General

August 12, 2024

“Electing Brown into office is the clear choice”

Washington, DC — Following his primary win, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) announced their endorsement of Nick Brown for Attorney General of Washington. Brown is a veteran, former U.S. attorney appointed by President Biden, and served as general counsel for Governor Jay Inslee where he fought against Donald Trump’s abhorrent Muslim ban. He has consistently worked to protect the most vulnerable populations and will continue to build a safer Washington for everyone.

Statement from Sean Rankin, President of Democratic Attorneys General Association:

“Nick Brown is a dedicated public servant which is why DAGA is proud to endorse him to serve as the next Attorney General of Washington. When elected to office, Brown will build on AG Bob Ferguson’s work and will uphold the values of democracy, defend civil and fundamental rights and freedoms, and enforce environmental safeguards. Brown is the clear choice in this race.

“While we’re excited to support Brown’s campaign and look forward to working with him after he wins this November, we also want to recognize Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson for bettering the lives of working families and Washingtonians while serving as AG. In addition to his work in the state, he also has been a national leader when holding Trump accountable with one of the best winning percentages in court against the former administration. It has been a privilege to work with you for more than eight years. We all look forward to seeing you continue this work as Governor when Washington voters elect you this fall.”

Statement from Nick Brown, Democratic Nominee for Attorney General in Washington:

“I am honored to receive DAGA’s support in this upcoming election for Attorney General of the great state of Washington. I’m running to be the next Attorney General to stand up for all Washingtonians. I want to build safer communities, maintain a thriving economy that helps everyone, and defend democracy, civil rights, and uphold abortion rights and health care access for all. I look forward to working with DAGA to win this race in November.”
