WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) is thrilled to announce its endorsement of Nicole Cannizzaro for Nevada attorney general. A lifelong Nevadan, Cannizzaro has dedicated her career to uplifting and advocating for her community. Before becoming a Nevada state legislator, Cannizzaro worked as a mediator, law clerk, and as an associate attorney in private practice before working as Deputy District Attorney in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. In 2016, she was first elected to the Nevada State Senate. Cannizzaro has served as the Majority Leader of the Nevada Senate since 2019, becoming the first woman to hold this position. As state senator, Cannizzaro has protected abortion and reproductive rights, gone after bad actors, and worked to keep kids safe online. Time and time again, she has risen to the challenge – and this race is no different.

Cannizzaro has also worked to improve mental health resources in public schools and increase education funding.
