DAGA Proudly Supports Rhode Island AG Peter Neronha’s Re-Election Campaign
September 13, 2022
Washington, D.C. — After today’s primary, the AG race in Rhode Island is set, and Democratic AG Peter Neronha will be voters’ choice this fall.
Statement from Sean Rankin, President of Democratic Attorneys General Association:
“AG Peter Neronha has been a tried and true leader serving as AG since 2019, and DAGA is proud to support his re-election campaign as he continues to work tirelessly on behalf of the people of Rhode Island. As a native Rhode Islander, AG Neronha’s roots run deep in the state, and fighting for his constituents is personal to him. He’s been a leader on all fronts, from fighting violent crimes to keep communities safe, to expanding health care oversight, to prosecuting businesses trying to cut corners and evade their obligations to workers. He also stood up to the Trump administration when its policies involving the environment, civil rights, and other issues negatively impact Rhode Islanders. As AG Neronha has said, there is ‘unfinished business,’ and when re-elected this November, he will continue to fight for justice.”
