Recent Polling Shows Weiser Leading By 12-points in the General Election
Washington, D.C.— Following their endorsement last week, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (@DemocraticAGs) released American Dream, a short video highlighting why Phil Weiser is the best choice for Colorado Attorney General. A son and grandson of Holocaust survivors, Weiser served as the Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice during the Obama Administration and most recently led the University of Colorado Law School as its Dean from 2011-16.
In the endorsement last week, Sean Rankin, Executive Director of the Democratic Attorneys General Association, noted, “We know there is energy in Colorado to see the office of Attorney General swing back to blue—and we know that Phil Weiser will work tirelessly to protect the people of Colorado and put their needs first.”
In November, Weiser will face Republican nominee and Arapahoe County District Attorney, George Brauchler. In a recent poll of Colorado voters, Weiser leads Brauchler by 12-points in the general election. Polling in Colorado is consistent with DAGA’s research across the country, showing enthusiasm and a favorable environment for Democratic Attorneys General candidates.
Last Tuesday’s primary results exemplified this progressive energy at the ballot box as unaffiliated voters chose to vote Democrat at a ratio of nearly 2-1. Primary results across the board highlight record-breaking Democratic turnout at the polls.
