Washington, DC — After MAGA Republican and Freedom Caucus member Dan Bishop announced that he will be running for North Carolina Attorney General, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement:

“Dan Bishop is the definition of a far-right, out of touch politician who is far outside the mainstream of North Carolina. Bishop has a 93% voting record this Congress with Marjorie Taylor Greene; he’s more interested in supporting her than the people of North Carolina.

“Bishop has made his priorities clear: he wants a nationwide ban on abortion, he voted to overturn the 2020 election, and he was behind North Carolina’s disastrous ‘bathroom bill.’ He’s catered to Marjorie Taylor Greene and her allies in Congress and he’s unfit to be North Carolina’s next Attorney General. We will successfully defend this seat in 2024.”
