DAGA Executive Director Sean Rankin on the Passing of ATU International President Larry Hanley

May 9, 2019

Washington, D.C.— The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement from Executive Director Sean Rankin regarding the passing of Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) International President Larry Hanley:

“We were incredibly saddened to receive the news about ATU International President Larry Hanley’s untimely passing. Larry inspired so many people, especially those in the labor and workers’ rights community. His commitment to transit workers, bus drivers, and transit riders – the working people who rely on public transportation every day for their jobs, taking their kids to school, and stitching their lives together- led to meaningful change. Our condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.”
