Washington, DC — Today, former President Donald Trump announced that he’s going to run for President in 2024. The outcome of the midterm election was a rejection of extremism and democracy prevailed. For four years, Democratic AGs were the biggest check on the Trump administration, holding his administration accountable to the rule of law – with an over 80% success rate.

The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement after Trump’s announcement.

“Democratic AGs have never been afraid to hold Donald Trump accountable. From beating his candidates at the ballot box like we did in Nevada and Michigan last week, to suing him more than 100 times when he was President, Democratic AGs have stood up to Trump’s extremism, lawlessness, and violence. We’re more than ready for this next fight against him.”
