Washington, DC — Today, the Supreme Court of the United States issued a ruling that maintains current access to the abortion pill mifepristone while the case, Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA, continues through the lower courts. For now, access to mifepristone remains unchanged. Democratic Attorneys General have been fighting back against the attacks on mifepristone and medication abortion access, winning a preliminary injunction in their own case earlier this month that would help protect access during these ongoing attacks.

“While we are pleased to see the Supreme Court’s decision today that will keep access to mifepristone in place for now, we know this case is far from over. Anti-abortion activists and politicians, including Republican Attorneys General, will continue their efforts to restrict abortion access at every turn.
