Republican Attorneys General Association Remains Silent on Allegations Against Indiana AG Curtis Hill

Washington, D.C.— Following Indiana AG Curtis Hill’s rejection of calls for resignation from Indiana leadership in response to allegations of sexual misconduct, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (@DemocraticAGs) released the following statement from co-chairs District of Columbia AG Karl Racine and Oregon AG Ellen Rosenblum questioning the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) lack of response.

STATEMENT FROM DEMOCRATIC ATTORNEYS GENERAL ASSOCIATION CO-CHAIRS DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AG KARL RACINE AND OREGON AG ELLEN ROSENBLUM:

“Silence is unacceptable. Leadership requires action. Why does the Republican Attorney General Association continue to remain silent after sexual misconduct allegations against its member, Indiana’s AG Curtis Hill, were reported five days ago? Especially when the highest-ranking Republicans in the state of Indiana, including Governor Eric Holcomb, have called for him to step down. Does RAGA’s silence suggest a lack of support for a zero-tolerance approach for sexual harassment? We call on RAGA, starting with RAGA chair and Arkansas AG Leslie Rutledge, to end its silence. Time to demonstrate character and leadership.”

Following the reports of allegations against Indiana AG Curtis Hill on Tuesday, DAGA released a statement commending the strong women for sharing their stories and condemning any and all forms of unwanted physical contact. Read the statement here.
