Democratic AGs Join Biden-Harris Campaign for President Biden’s Speech Defending American Democracy Against Donald Trump

Washington, DC — Today, ahead of the third anniversary of the January 6th insurrection that Donald Trump helped incite, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement.

DAGA Co-Chair and Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, DAGA Co-Chair and Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell, and Washington D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb will all be in attendance at the Biden-Harris campaign event in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania today.

Statement from DAGA Co-Chairs Delaware AG Kathy Jennings and Nevada AG Aaron Ford:

“Three years ago, Donald Trump helped incite an angry mob who attacked the United States Capitol, our law enforcement officers, and our country’s democratic process. The events of the January 6th insurrection serve as a dark reminder of how far Trump and his allies, including some Republican Attorneys General and AG candidates, are willing to go to spread the Big Lie and disinformation campaigns that threaten our democracy.

“Today is a day to remember that Trump’s ravings are not idle lies, or simple misstatements. His words have consequences, and we will remind the American people every day that Donald Trump is a threat to the United States of America who we must defeat at the ballot box, and in court if necessary. As the top legal officers in our states, Democratic Attorneys General are on the frontlines of upholding the rule of law and protecting free and fair elections. We stand firmly behind President Biden and Vice President Harris as they defend every American’s essential freedoms in this election, from the right to vote, to the right to make your own health care decisions and love who you want, and the right to prosper and thrive in America.”
