Washington, DC — The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) condemns the  Republican National Committee’s passing of a new anti-abortion resolution urging Republicans in states and in Congress to pass six-week abortion bans and committing to “go on offense in the 2024 election cycle” on abortion.

Statement from Emily Trifone, Deputy Communications Director, Democratic Attorneys General Association:

“This comes as no surprise — we’ve long known that Republicans want to see abortion fully banned. You can be sure that every Republican running for Attorney General across this country will be asked about their party’s efforts to ban abortion before most women even know they’re pregnant and rob people of their power to make their own personal medical decisions. Democratic AGs won on defending abortion access in 2022. And we’ll win on it again in 2024.”
