New polling shows tight races in Kansas and Iowa
WASHINGTON, DC – Yesterday, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) officially announced its endorsement of Kansas’s Chris Mann and Iowa’s Nate Willems to serve as attorneys general in their respective states.
As first reported in POLITICO Playbook, “The Democratic Attorneys General Association is throwing its weight behind Democratic candidates running for AG in Iowa and Kansas — their top two targets to flip this year…In Iowa: Democrat Nate Willems is ‘within striking distance,’ according to DAGA polling, trailing incumbent Republican Brenna Bird by 2 points. See the poll. And in Kansas: Democrat Chris Mann trails incumbent Republican Kris Kobach by 2 points, according to the polling memo. Read the memo.”
As DAGA’s target flip opportunities, the early announcement serves as a reminder of the stakes at play come this November and the critical importance of investing early. Kobach and Bird have abandoned their duties as their state’s attorney general, failing to defend the rights of their constituents.
DAGA is ready to go all in to elect democratic attorneys general who will actually fight for their constituents and defend the rule of law.
