NOTUS: “...Democrats have relied on their state attorneys general to play a central role in blocking many of the White House’s biggest swings.”
WASHINGTON, DC – With almost a year into the Trump administration, Democratic attorneys general have not shied away from taking Trump to court and the good news is they’re winning. A recent article by NOTUS’ Raymond Fernándezrecaps all the successes Democratic AGs have had when challenging Trump’s federal funding freezes. The articles states, “Since the start of the second Trump administration, Democrats have relied on their state attorneys general to play a central role in blocking many of the White House’s biggest swings.”
This is why it matters who Americans have as their state attorney general. Democratic AGs have single-handedly restored and provided relief for their constituents, while red states with Republican AGs are failing to stand up for the people of their state.
“‘We’ve filed 47 lawsuits and protected more than $3 billion in federal funding for education, public health, public safety, and more,’” Massachusetts Attorney General Anderea Campbell told NOTUS. “‘I will continue holding this administration accountable any time they violate the law and put our communities at risk.’”
