WASHINGTON, DC – Democratic nominee for Georgia attorney general Tanya Miller recently spoke with CNN about the upcoming midterm elections, emphasizing her commitment to safeguarding Georgia’s elections from outside interference.

Key highlights:

  • “…what it means for Georgia is we are going to do what we do every election cycle, and that is show up without regard to anyone trying to interfere with our elections. Our hope is that there is nothing abnormal about election monitors showing up from the federal government.”
  • “We do not need the President to assist us in any way in defending our elections down here in Georgia. We need him to not interfere with our elections down here in Georgia.”
  • “I have said on the campaign trail from the beginning, I will take anyone to court who seeks to violate our constitution and any eligible Georgia citizen from exercising their right to vote. It is extraordinarily important to me personally. It is important to our electorate here. It is what has our electorate so energized.”
  • “Look, Georgians are tired of folks interfering with our democracy. They want a shot fair and square at having fair elections. And I view the attorney general’s job as protecting that with every tool available.”
  • “I am focused right now on the election here in 2026 in seven days. And it’s really important. The attorney general will play a very important role in 2028, making sure that our elections down here are fair. And so that is my focus.”
