WASHINGTON, DC – A new article using FBI crime data shows that violent crime rates have risen in the county that Wisconsin District Attorney and Republican AG nominee Eric Toney oversees.

As reported by The Milwaukee Courier, under the leadership of Attorney General Josh Kaul, in 2025 Wisconsin recorded its lowest number of violent crimes since 2011, and the state’s rate of violent crime has also declined for the fifth consecutive year. Meanwhile, Fond du Lac County, where Eric Toney is currently District Attorney, saw its second highest number of violent crimes in four decades in 2025, the highest number being in 2023 when Toney was still district attorney and botched various cases, letting violent criminals walk free.

If Toney can’t even correctly prosecute at the county level, he cannot be trusted to prosecute properly at the state level. Wisconsin deserves better.

The defendant, Daniel Navarro, a Latino man, said he was motivated to kill a white person.”
