Kansas GOP AG Kris Kobach Speaks at Far-Right Anti-Abortion Rally
January 29, 2026
Kobach also attacks Kansas Supreme Court for protecting abortion rights
WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach spoke at an anti-abortion eventin support of overturning the right to an abortion, despite Kansas voters having already settled the debate in 2022. As the Kansas Reflector noted, “almost 60% of Kansas” had “rejected the anti-abortion ballot measure.” The Kansas Supreme Court has also ruled that the right to abortion is fully protected in the state’s Constitution.
Statement from Carolyn Fiddler, DAGA Communications Director:
“It’s shameful that Kansas AG Kris Kobach would ignore the significant majority of Kansas voters, who have already vehemently rejected restrictions on abortion and Kansans’ rights to bodily autonomy. Rather than acknowledging the will of the people, Kobach is campaigning to overturn it and is blaming the courts for allowing abortion in the state. Kobach is again demonstrating his inability to fulfill the job of the attorney general. Come November, he will be replaced by an attorney general who will actually putKansas first.”
