DAGA breaks fundraising record in high-stakes election year

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) announced it raised $9.6 million across all entities in 2026’s first quarter, breaking their record as its biggest Q1 fundraising haul to date. Democratic AGs are the only group of elected officials who have taken Trump to court and are actively winning – and people are noticing.

Statement from Sean Rankin, DAGA President:

“Our record-breaking off-year fundraising in 2025 has carried over into 2026 with the largest first quarter in the organization’s history. The work of Democratic AGs has never been more important or obvious, and as a result, donor interest continues to increase – and that growth is necessary as winning and holding these AG seats has become the cornerstone for effective efforts to drive national agendas. Democratic AGs remain the last line of defense against the Trump administration. They’re the bulwark for protecting election results, and they are the first step in building an affirmative agenda to repair and rebuild the damage done by this administration. Progress begins with electing and protecting Democratic AGs in 2026.”
