Intro 

Anne Lopez assumed the role of Hawaii Attorney General after her appointment in December of 2022 by Governor Josh Green. She is serving a five year term, ending in 2026. 

Early Life and Education 

AG Lopez attended San Jose University before earning her law degree from the University of Hawaii. 

Career Highlights 

Prior to her appointment, she was an attorney at Chun Kerr Dodd Beaman & Wong (2004-2012) before serving as special assistant to former Hawaii AG David Louie. Most recently, she served as CEO and General Counsel for Hawaii Health Systems Corporation. 

Attorney General Accomplishments 

During her time as Attorney General, Anne Lopez led a lawsuit to stop illegal attempts to cut scientific research and education programs, launched an app and updated web portal designed to enhance the experience for clients managing child support cases, and secured over $700 million for the state of Hawaii from pharmaceutical companies.
