Greta Kemp Martin is the Democratic nominee for Mississippi Attorney General in 2023. She was born, raised, and educated in Mississippi, and has dedicated her life to fighting for equity and opportunity for all Mississippians. She is currently the Litigation Director for Disability Rights Mississippi, the protection and advocacy agency for the state of Mississippi.
Born in Belmont, Mississippi, she grew up the daughter of a law enforcement officer and nurse. She graduated from Ole Miss and went on to Mississippi College’s School of Law.
Greta is an active member of the Mississippi Bar, and has served in various leadership roles throughout Mississippi’s legal community. She is the immediate past president of the Mississippi Association of Justice, as well as the former president of the Mississippi Women Lawyers’ Association. Greta serves on the Mississippi Access to Justice Commission — a task force focused on bringing legal services to underserved communities throughout the state.
