Washington, DC — Republican Attorneys General have a long history of attacking abortion access, and this week they’ve truly outdone themselves. Here’s a look at what’s been unfolding:

On Tuesday, Ohio AG Dave Yost called a 10-year-old rape victim a liar on national TV. The child was forced to travel to Indiana for an abortion after AG Yost filed to enforce the state’s six-week abortion ban following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The following day, news broke that an arrest has been made in Ohio in the case, proving AG Yost dead wrong.

On Wednesday, Arizona AG Mark Brnovich filed to enforce a one-hundred-fifty-year-old anti-abortion law that would ban abortion in the state if allowed to take effect.

Last night, Indiana AG Todd Rokita made baseless claims in calling to investigate an abortion provider for simply doing their job.

This is what happens when Republican AGs are in charge. They’ll stop at nothing to control people’s bodies. They are playing politics with people’s basic health care and care more about boosting their personal agenda than protecting their constituents. It’s disgusting and dangerous and it needs to end. The only way to stop them is by electing Democratic AGs who will defend abortion access, full stop.
