SEAT FLIPPED: DAGA Celebrates AG-Elect Tanya Miller on Winning Critical Georgia Attorney General Race

November 3, 2026

WASHINGTON, DC – The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) is celebrating Georgia AG-elect Tanya Miller on her election victory, flipping the AG seat and defeating her inexperienced, far-right opponent, Brian Strickland. AG-elect Miller will also make history as the first woman and first Black woman to serve as Georgia Attorney General.

Across all entities, DAGA invested over $4 million to flip this seat blue and spend on voter education, television ads, digital ads, polling, and message testing.

Statement from Sean Rankin, DAGA President:
“We are thrilled to congratulate AG-elect Miller on her historic election victory. As the only prosecutor in the race, Tanya Miller was the clear choice to be Georgia’s top law enforcement official. AG-elect Miller is an undefeated homicide prosecutor and former state legislator, and she has the experience needed to protect Georgians and deliver real wins. DAGA invested heavily in this race to flip this seat blue and support Tanya’s campaign. And we can’t wait to see what she will achieve as AG and welcome her into our room.”

Our democracy can't wait.
