DAGA Statement on Senate Confirmation of Anne Milgram, former Attorney General of New Jersey, to be Administrator of DEA

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statements on the U.S. Senate confirming Anne Milgram, former Attorney General of New Jersey, to be Administrator of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA): 

Statement from Massachusetts AG Maura Healey and Nevada AG Aaron Ford, Co-Chairs of the Democratic Attorneys General Association:

“Anne Milgram’s confirmation to lead the DEA is a huge asset to all the State Attorneys General in our efforts to combat the ongoing opioid crisis and narcotics trafficking. Her experience and dedication fighting the devastating opioid epidemic and promoting effective collaboration between state, local, and federal law enforcement make her an essential law enforcement partner and friend to State Attorneys General across the country.  We look forward to working with her to make our country safer.”
