Virginia AG Jason Miyares, Still Silent on the Epstein Files, Set to Appear at Human Trafficking Summit with Trump AG Pam Bondi

August 13, 2025

After weeks of refusing to comment, Miyares owes Virginians his stance on releasing the Epstein Files

WASHINGTON, DC – As Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares continues to refuse to stand up and defend Virginians from the Trump administration’s harmful and illegal actions, he seems to have no issue with teaming up with Trump’s Attorney General Pam Bondi to speak at an event together on human trafficking. Bondi, a staunch MAGA ally, has recently come under fire for mishandling the Jeffrey Epstein files and protecting Trump from the consequences of his appearances in them. And in true Miyares fashion, Virginia’s current AG has refused to speak up for Epstein’s victims or call for truth and transparency regarding the handling of these files.

Statement from Carolyn Fiddler, DAGA’s Director of Communications:
“MAGA Miyares’ decision to speak alongside Bondi at a human trafficking summit – while also refusing to call her out for her mishandling a case concerning human trafficking – is not only tone deaf but also calls into question his position on government transparency and general honesty with the public. Virginians deserve to know what his stance is on the release of the files. Will Miyares continue to hide, or will he finally do the right thing by standing up for the rule of law and the people he purports to protect?”
