DAGA Announces Strong Q3 Fundraising Numbers

October 14, 2022

Washington, DC — Today, the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) announced it raised $5.9 million across all entities in 2022’s third quarter, a total that keeps it on track to successfully defend Democratic AGs around the country and contest key battleground races this fall.

DAGA’s Q3 success builds on its success in Q2, when DAGA outraised the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) on the strength of grassroots fundraising in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision. DAGA is successfully defending its Democratic-held seats in battleground states like Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, and Wisconsin, as well as running strong campaigns in Republican-held seats like Arizona, Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, and Texas. This quarter’s total represents a 45% increase over DAGA’s 2018 Q3 fundraising total, showcasing the committee’s strong growth in the past four years.

Statement from Sean Rankin, DAGA President:

“Throughout the cycle, DAGA has continued to raise the funds necessary to compete and win all across the country. Thanks to our donors, partners, and allies, we are successfully defending our historic 2018 class of Attorneys General, including four red-to-blue flip seats, as well as forcing our Republican counterparts to spend heavily and play defense in traditionally red states like Kansas and Texas. We are building on the gains we made in 2018 and 2020 and are well-positioned to win key races this fall. With a strong showing, we will continue Democratic AG’s work on our nation’s most pressing policy issues.”
